Sometimes an unlikely friend drops out of nowhere and becomes a fixture. This is Amber since last fall. She can be bitchy and type A and different from me in a million ways, but I look forward to seeing her as often as possible and love her to death. First person I told I was pregnant, in part because she had shared her own abortion story with me. In fact, she was only the second friend to have done so. Ever.
