Anniversary
Last year, on the anniversary of Roe v Wade, I had an abortion. I didn’t realize the synchronicity at the time. And I didn’t remember it was the anniversary until a moment ago, when I saw this story about Obama reaffirming the right to choose.
I regret all the circumstances, economic, cultural, interpersonal, and familial, that led me to choose to end a pregnancy, but I am grateful I had the right to make that decision, and grateful to have a president who supports that right in office.
